AN INTERVIEW WITH THE STAR

1 JUNE 2014 – The Star Performing Arts Centre is the latest addition to Singapore’s vibrant events and shows a scene, opened in November 2012. With its iconic architecture, 5000-seat capacity, and advanced technological equipment, the Star instantly established itself as a pioneer in Singapore’s MICE industry. The Star will be exhibiting at MICE Asia Pacific Exhibition 2014, organized by Oliver Kinross. Here is a sneak peek of what the Star has to offer, in our interview with Ms. Sarah Lim, the Star PAC’s Director of Sales and Marketing.

EVENT TECH THRIVES IN TIMES OF CONSOLIDATION

25 JUNE 2014 – Asia is increasingly taking the center stage of the international MICE industry. The presence of Asia Pacific participants is increasing rapidly in major events industry trade shows. Moreover, industry studies reveal the rapid rise of the Asia Pacific market in hard numbers and figures.

A study by the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs points out that from 2006 to 2010, exhibition space grew by 20% in Asia. Another study finds the growth in numbers of international conventions held in the Asia Pacific higher than anywhere else in the world, with a compound annual growth rate standing at 9.4% in the period from 2001 to 2011.
